Announcements / Toronto Tour Meeting - Oct 1



On Thursday October 1st at 6:30 pm there will be a meeting to discuss the Kanack School trip to Toronto for all interested families. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Ward Dilmore the Development Director at Encore Tours, who will be organizing this tour for us. He will speak about all aspects of the trip and be available for questions. The meeting should last 30-45 minutes. Please see the below information reprinted from the fall welcome back letter.

                The Kanack School has been invited to join the Lyric Academy on a tour to Toronto May 14-15, 2016. This opportunity is open to everyone! The following is a description of a preliminary itinerary for this tour.

 MAY 14, 2016: TORONTO Depart early this morning from Victor, NY for Toronto! Upon arrival, meet your Encore Tour Manager and enjoy time for lunch, which will be on your own. This afternoon, visit to the Royal Ontario Museum and Casa Loma, a majestic gothic-style castle and the former home of Canadian Financier of Sir Henry Pellatt. Afterwards, prepare for your performance in Toronto. Options include the Casa Loma or another local venue! (pending approval). Enjoy dinner together as a group this evening in Toronto after the performance. Then ascend to the top of the magnificent C.N. Tower, one of the world’s tallest free standing structures, for a spectacular view of Toronto.

MAY 15, 2016: DEPARTURE This morning, after breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a city sightseeing tour of this cosmopolitan city, including a visit to the city’s impressive CN Tower where you’ll have beautiful views looking over the entire city. Visit the St.Lawrence Market, where you’ll have free time for lunch. Afterwards, board the bus and head to Niagara Falls, where you’ll have some time for photos ops and to explore a bit. Afterwards, board the bus and make your way back to Victor, NY.
